Middle School soccer off to great start

The Switzerland County Middle School Soccer season is off to a great start with two wins, two ties, and one loss.

– The season opened with a 1-1 tie against Madison Shawe.

Justin Chatham had four shots on goal with one goal. Keegan Morris and Riley Hankins each had one shot on goal; while Bailey Bennett had four shots on goal.

Kenyon Bledsoe had 15 saves in the goal.

– The Pacers defeated Jac-Cen-Del by a score of 4-1.

Justin Chatham had three shots with one goal and one assist. Keegan Morris had two shots with one goal and one assist.

Sam White had one goal; Kyle Whitham had one shot; and Jacob Wiley had one assist. Kenyon Bledsoe had five saves in the goal.

– In the season’s third game, the Pacers tied South Ripley 2-2.

Justin Chatham had two shots with one goal; Keegan Morris had five shots; and Kyle Whitham had five shots with one goal.

Emma Giglio, Leah Anders, and Damien Breeck each had one shot on goal. Kenyon Bledsoe had 17 saves in the goal.

– The Pacers fell to Southwestern 4-1. Keegan Morris had one goal; and Kenyon Bledsoe had 23 saves.

– The Pacers once again defeated Jac-Cen-Del by a 3-1 score.

Justin Chatham had three shots with two goals; Keegan Morris had 12 shots with one goal and one assist.

Sam White had one shot on goal; and Kenyon Bledsoe had four saves in the goal.

– The Pacers hosted a tournament on Saturday, September 14th where they defeated Jac-Cen-Del to earn a place in the championship game against Southwestern.

In the title tilt, Switzerland County put up a hard fight, but fell and took second place overall.
