Middle School girls track team defeats South Ripley

The Switzerland County Middle School Lady Pacer track team continued its winning ways on Monday night with a 81-19 win over South Ripley in a dual meet.

Highlighting the meet were several winners of multiple events, including:

– Whitley Schirmer in the 1,600-meter run in a time of 5:52; and the 800-meter run in a time of 2:46. She was also a part of the winning 1,600-meter relay team along with Veronika Perry, Cameron Ray, and Maria Northcutt in a time of 4:59.

– McKayli Scudder won the long jump with a distance of 14′ 3″; and the high jump with a height of 4′ 6″; and she joined teammates Leah Anders, Taylar Jordan, and Veronika Perry in winning the 400-meter relay in a time of :58.89.

– Veronika Perry won the 200-meter dash with a time of :30.58; was a part of the 1,600-meter relay team along with Whitley Schirmer, Cameron Ray, and Maria Northcutt in a time of 4:59; and was a member of the winning 400-meter relay team along with Leah Anders, Taylar Jordan, and McKayli Scudder in a time of :58.89.

– Natalie Newman was a double winner, winning the discus with a distance of 63′ 9 3/4″; and the shot put with a distance of 26′ 11″.

– Taylar Jordan won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :18.19; and joined teammates Leah Anders, McKayli Scudder, and Veronika Perry in winning the 400-meter relay in a time of :58.89.

– Leah Anders won the 100-meter dash in a time of :14.63; and teamed with McKayli Scudder, Taylar Jordan, and Veronika Perry in winning the 400-meter relay in a time of :58.89.

Second places were earned in the meet by Taylar Jordan in the 100-meter dash and the long jump; Mackenzie Covington in the 400-meter dash; Leah Anders in the 200-meter dash; Brandi Emery in the discus and the shot put; and Cameron Ray in the 800-meter run.

– Third place points were earned by Arianna Bright in the 100-meter hurdles; Maria Northcutt in the 400-meter dash; McKayli Scudder in the 100-meter dash; Cameron Ray in the 1,600-meter run; McKenli Scudder in the 200-meter dash; Kourtney King in the shot put; and Whitley Schirmer in the long jump.
