The Switzerland County Middle School girls track team completed an impressive season on Monday night by winning the ORVC championship.
The Lady Pacers recorded a team score of 83 to earn the championship; followed by Rising Sun with 66 points; Milan with 60; Jac-Cen-Del with 50; Southwestern with 46; South Ripley with 37; and Madison Shawe with 26.
Megan Dasis was a double conference champion, winning the long jump with a distance of 14’6″; and the 100-meter dash with a time of :13.79.
Eve Galbreath won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of :17.19; and Jade Mullins recorded a personal best time of 2:43.67 to win the 800-meter run.
Earning second place points was Eve Galbreath in the shot put; Courtney Pedraza in the 100-meter dash; Melissa Furnish in the 1,600-meter run; and Megan Dasis in the 200-meter dash.
Eve Galbreath was fourth in the 400-meter dash; the 1,600-meter relay team of Courtney Pedraza, Bre Braun, Stephanie Smith, and Jade Mullins was fourth; Jade Mullins was fifth in the high jump; and Audrey Kinne was sixth in the long jump.
