The boys and girls cross country teams from Switzerland County Middle School both captured the championships of the ORVC Junior High Preview meet on Tuesday night at Hanover.
The boys won the meet with a team score of 29, ahead of second place Jac-Cen-Del with 41. South Ripley had a team score of 59; and Milan finished with 117.
Individually, Braden Burk won the meet with a time 11:21; and Alex Galbreath finished third overall in a time of 12:20. Tanner Gray was fifth in a time of 12:29; Talen Taylor was ninth in a time of 12:45; and Ryan Sullivan rounded out the scoring with a 12th place finish in a time of 13:06.
Other Pacer runners included: Dakota Taylor in 14th place; Hunter Jordan in 15th place; Alex Curran in 16th place; Mikhail Cole in 18th place; Riley Phagen in 22nd place; and Douglas Ray in 23rd place.
Charlie Reynolds was 29th; Micah Works was 35th; Justus Powell was 41st; and Michael Scott was 47th.

The girls team won the meet with a team score of 44 to push past second place Jac-Cen-Del, who finished with 48. Southwestern had 73 points; South Ripley had 102 points; Rising Sun had 108 points; and Milan had 138 points.
Paige Freeman led the Lady Pacers with a third place overall finish in a time of 13:59. Taryn Parr was seventh overall in a time of 14:23; Robin Furnish was eighth overall in a time of 14:38; Bre Ricketts was 12th overall in a time of 14:54; and Jaclyn Hart was 14th overall in a time of 14:56.
Other Lady Pacer runners included: Emily Dryer in 23rd place; Adeli Kinne in 25th place; Kelsi Konkle in 26th place; Courtney Pedraza in 31st place; Korah Taylor in 34th place; Brooke Todd in 43rd place; and McKenna Edwards in 52nd place.
