Middle School boys earn track win

The boys track team from Switzerland County Middle School won a three-way meet on Thursday night.

The Pacers won with a team total of 57; while Jac-Cen-Del had 50 points and St. Louis finished with 19 points.

Keegan Morris won the 100-meter dash in a time of :12.4 and the 200-meter dash in a time of :26.1; while the 400-meter relay team of Jacob Wiley, Austin South, Keegan Morris, and Justin Chatham won in a time of :53. Rounding out the winners was the 1,600-meter relay team of Bailey Bennett, Mikey Gatto, Austin South, and Damien Breeck with a time of 4:32; Maxwell Anders won first place in high jump with a height of 5’5″.

Second places were earned by Mikey Gatto in the 110-meter hurdles; Aaron Scudder in the 1,600-meter run; Caden Hankins in the 800-meter run; Kyle Whitham in the discus; Eyan Peelman in the shot put; and Austin South in the long jump and the high jump.

Third place points were earned by Doug Pedraza in the 1,600-meter run; Bailey Bennett in the 400-meter dash; Damien Breeck in the 800-meter run; Eyan Peelman in the discus; Kyle Whitham in the shot put; and Mikey Gatto in the long jump.

Finishing fourth was Doug Pedraza in the 800-meter run; Jacob Wiley in the 200-meter dash; Brandon Works in the discus; and Mikey Gatto in the high jump.
