Memorial Day service is set for Monday

The Edwin C. Danner Post #185 of the American Legion will be this year’s host of the Memorial Day service.

The service will be held this Monday, May 30th, at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Monument on the courthouse lawn.

The master of ceremonies for the program this year will be American Legion Commander George Zubaty; and the guest speaker will be retired U.S. Army Reserve Colonel Tim Hoffman.

Music will be provided by the Vevay Music Club; and the Legion Auxiliary will have poppies available.

In case of bad weather, the program will be held at the Hoosier Theater.

Immediately following the service, a luncheon will be served at the American Legion post on Ferry Street. The public is invited to attend.
