McKayli Scudder: four first place finishes

McKayli Scudder won four events on Monday night to help power the Switzerland County Middle School girls track team to a 73-26 dual meet victory over South Ripley.

The seventh grader won the long jump with a leap of 13’3″; the high jump with a height of 4’5″; the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:12.71; and she was a part of the winning 1,600-meter relay team along with Jade Mullins, Courtney Pedraza, and Whitley Schirmer.

Taylor Jordan also had an outstanding night, earning three first places. She won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of :19.03; the 200-meter dash in a time of :30.9; and was a part of the 400-meter relay team along with Veronika Perry, Mallory Phagan, and Audrey Kinne.

Taylor Jordan also placed third in the long jump.

Also earning three first place ribbons was Whitley Schirmer, who won the 800-meter run in a time of 2:45; the 1,600-meter run in a time of 6:05; and she was a part of the winning 1,600-meter relay team.

Other individual results included:

– Veronika Perry finished second in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash.

– Jade Mullins finished second in the 800-meter run and the high jump.

- Cameron Ray was second in the 1,600-meter run and the 400-meter dash; and third in the 100-meter hurdles.

– Brandy Emery placed second in the discus and the shot put.

- Audrey Kinne was second in the long jump.

– Natalie Newman placed third in the discus and the shot put.

– Courtney Pedraza was third in the 100-meter dash.
