Switzerland County Highway Superintendent Darrell Keith would like to make everyone aware of an upcoming road closure.
Markland Pike will be closed between Adkinson Hill Road and Melock Road beginning this Tuesday, May 29th (weather permitting).
The road will be closed to traffic for approximately four weeks. Adkinson Hill Road will be accessible from the south from State Road 156; and Melock Road will be accessible from the north coming down Markland Pike.
Residents who use Markland Pike to get to and from work as well as other trips should plan on finding an alternate route.
