Mark Sharp is ‘Player of the Week’

The Ohio River Valley Conference has announced its list of “Top Performers” and “Players of the Week” for the period ending January 31st.

In boys basketball, Switzerland County’s Mark Sharp was honored as the “Player of the Week” for his 20 points, 20 assists, and seven steals in two games.

He shared “Player of the Week” honors with Matt Gehl of Jac-Cen-Del.

Switzerland County’s Brennan Bragg, Kyle Green, and Clay Meyer were also honored as “Top Performers”.

Brennan Bragg was honored for his 34 points and 10 rebounds in two games.

Kyle Green was honored for his 23 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in two games.

Clay Meyer was honored for his 14 points and 12 rebounds against Milan.

Others honored as “Top Performers” included: Blake Sutton and Tim Arnett of Jac-Cen-Del; and Alex Walter of Milan.

In girls basketball, Lady Pacers Jenna Daugherty, Kristen Perry, and Maggie Armstrong were honored as “Top Performers”.

Jenna Daugherty earned the honor by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds against South Ripley.

Kristen Perry was honored for scoring 12 points and adding nine rebounds against South Ripley.

Maggie Armstrong was honored for scoring 11 points and adding four assists and four steals versus South Ripley.

Others honored as “Top Performers” included: Erica Ester, Kasey King, and Jordan Vinup of South Ripley; and Teryn Elder and Courtney Weaver of Rising Sun.

Kayla Ferriera of Rising Sun was honored as the “Player of the Week”.
