Maizen Wainscott, Austin Johns crowned as this year’s Little Miss and Little Mister

Monday at the Switzerland County 4-H Fair was highlighted by the Little Miss and Little Mister contest, and this year’s winners are Maizen Wainscott and Austin Johns.

The contest featured the children dressing up in costumes that portrayed what they wanted to be when they grow up; and again drew a large crowd to the Community Building.

Maizen Wainscott is the daughter of Andi and Joey Wainscott. She’s five years old; and her favorite movie is “How to Train Your Dragon 2”. Her favorite food is cheese rolls; and she has two pets: Stripey Kitty and Russel.

Austin Johns is six years old, and he is the son of Brian and Carrie Johns. His favorite food is ham sandwiches; and his favorite television show is ‘Wipeout’. Austin has two pets: Wednesday and Friday.

First runner up for Little Miss was Mallory Westerkamm. She is five years old, and the daughter of Amy and Ray Westerkamm. Her favorite television shows are ‘Princess Shows’, and her favorite food is noodles. She has a pet cat.

Dawson Baker was the first runner up for Little Mister. He is the son of Deron and Marlene Baker, and his favorite food is hamburgers. He is five years old, and likes the television show ‘Curious George’; and he has a pony named Smokey, a kitten named Tiegra, and a heifer named Benjy.

Mallory Ann Bear is five years old, and she was named the second runner up in the Little Miss contest. She is the daughter of Mike and Brandi Bear, and her favorite foods are pizza, Roxano’s breadsticks, steak, cookies, and cake. Her favorite shows are Frozen, Peppa Pig, Sofia the First, and Tom and Jerry.

The second runner up in the Little Mister contest was Sorren Russell. He is six years old, and the son of Alan Russell and Rhashell Romans. His favorites foods are ice cream, hummus, and deer; and he enjoys watching animal documentaries on his computer. He has a pet named Samson.

Other county children competing in the Little Miss contest were: Klayre Smith and Emma South; while Ethan Rose and Ethan Weaver also participated in the Little Mister contest.
