Here's a recap of recent meets involving the Switzerland County High School boys and girls cross country teams:

A total of 19 schools competed making a very tight course with an average of 113 runners for both the boys and girls races.

Not only did both Pacer teams have runners in the top 10 for Division II, but all ran either a personal best or a season best time.

In the girls race, Oldenburg Academy won the race as a team with Switzerland County running to a fifth place finish.

In leading Switzerland County, Paige Ridener ran a personal best time of 21:41 for 12th place overall; as did Liz Nibarger with a time of 33:19 for 50th place. 'Season Best' times included: Robin Furnish in ninth place in a time of 21:17; Jaclyn Hart in 36th place in a time of 26:28; and Adeli Kinne in 39th in a time of 27:13.

The Switzerland County boys team also finished in fifth place overall with the win going to South Ripley.

Personal Best times for the Pacers included: Talen Taylor in fourth place overall in a time of 17:26; Matt Yocum in 29th place overall in a time of 19:56; Zack Rodgers in 33rd place overall in a time of 20:31.

'Season Best' runs included Sean Oatman in eighth place overall in a time of 18:04; and Mikhail Cole in 25th place overall in a time of 19:24.

"We are still running without our number one runner for the boys and our number three runner for the girls, which is very encouraging," head coach Adam Cole said. "Every runner at South Dearborn dropped significant time, and we gained a lot of ground toward catching the favorites in our conference. I am very proud of every performance."
