7/3/2014 3:00:00 PM School Board to meet this Monday
The Switzerland County School Board will hold a special meeting this Monday night, July 8th.
The meetings will begin with an executive session at 4:30 p.m. which is closed to the public. Indiana State Law requires that public entities cite the specific code for the reason to have a closed door meeting.
For Monday's meeting, the school board is citing two different codes; IC 5-14-1.5-6.1(5): "To receive information about and interview prospective employees; and IC 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(3): "For discussion of the assessment, design, and implementation of school safety and security measures, plans, and systems."
The public meeting will begin at 5 p.m.
Items on the agenda include:
- In Old Business: discussion of plans for secure entrances; and approval of restraint and seclusion policy.
- In New Business: approval of donation of materials from TIC for Jefferson-Craig.
- There will also be professional leave requests; use of facilities requests; announcements and reports by the superintendent; and reports and comments from members of the school board.
