7/25/2013 3:00:00 PM Car Show coming to Vevay in September
Car collectors and enthusiasts are invited to enter their vehicles into the On the River Car Show in Vevay.
Hosted by the Jeff Craig Fire Department, the event will be held on Saturday, September 14th at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park. A cruise-in and parade takes place Friday, September 13th at the park from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Owner of cars,trucks, bikes and semis are welcome to participate.
A juried open show, registration is $20 and is from 8 am-12:30pm. Dash plaques will be given to the first 200 entries, with the Top 10 trophies to be awarded during a presentation that begins at 4:30pm. The event is free for spectators. Event shirts will be available.
In addition, the show will feature a Kentucky Speedway Pace Car, fire and rescue vehicles and a PHI Air Medical helicopter out of Lexington, Kentucky, pending inclement weather or emergency. Seaplane rides will be available.
Food and drinks will be provided by the Jeff-Craig Fire Department and Kiwanis Club. Oldies music will be provided by TC Fairline and Rockin Renee. Auto-related vendors are welcome to attend.
Giveaways will be available, including a peddle car, tool box fridge, and hot rod grill.
A portion of the proceeds will be given to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
