The Cincinnati Reds Winter Caravan will be stopping in Vevay for the fourth straight year on Thursday, January 24th.
The Cincinnati Reds Winter Caravan has announced that it will again be stopping in Switzerland County. This will be the fourth consecutive year that the caravan has made a stop here.
The caravan is expected to make its stop here on Thursday, January 24th. The stop will be at the Historic Hoosier Theater in Vevay; and this year the stop will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
According to the Cincinnati Reds website, the Switzerland County stop will be a part of the Western leg of the Caravan.
Tentatively scheduled to be a part of the Western leg of the Caravan are: broadcaster Thom Brennaman; players Jay Bruce, Ryan LaMarre and Corky Miller; Reds Chief Operating Officer Phil Castellini; and Reds President of Baseball Operations Walk Jocketty.
Reds mascot "Mr. Redlegs" is also scheduled to appear.
The western leg begins on Thursday, January 24th here, and then finishes in Louisville, Kentucky, on Thursday night at Louisville Slugger Field from 6-9 p.m.
One Friday, January 25th, the caravan will stop in Bloomington, Indiana at the College Mall from 6-8 p.m.; and the Western Tour will continue on Saturday, January 26th, in Indianapolis at Castleton Square Mall from 9:30-11:30 a.m., and then in Muncie at Stoops Automotive from 5:30-8 p.m.
The Western Tour will conclude on Sunday, January 27th, in Hamilton, Ohio at Parrish Auditorium.
At each stop, the group will field questions from fans and sign autographs. Due to time constraints, autograph sessions may not be able to satisfy all fans in attendance. Sales representatives will be on hand to discuss season tickets and group sales, while the Reds Hall of Fame, the Reds Community Fund and Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network attend selected stops.
The website also reports that two tickets for the Reds opening day game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Monday, April 1st will be raffled off.
