Senior Devin Coy: Commended student

Switzerland County High School senior Devin Coy has been named a "Commended Student" in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Only about 34,000 "Commended Students" throughout the entire nation are recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2013 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, "Commended Students" place among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2013 competition by taking the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Devin Coy is the son of Greg and Barb Coy of near Vevay. He is shown here being congratulated on his achievement by Switzerland County High School assistant principal David Todd.
