This past Sunday, six members from the Lynx Wrestling Club participated in the ‘Indy Nationals’ at the University of Indianapolis.

This tournament hosted wrestlers from Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, West Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky and more.

“As a team we fell short of our goals, but has an organization grew tremendously,” Coach Mark Jackson said. “We had parents stepping up to fill the roles of coaches and did a phenomenal job for being thrown to the wolves like that. The boys wrestled hard but just couldn’t get into rhythm.”

Ryan Hart had an outstanding day for the club, finishing by earning ‘All American’ status by finishing in 8th place overall.

Ethan Rose and Peyton Richards each went 2-2 on the day; and Calib Riley was 1-2.

Gabe Rose, Gabe Jackson and Cole Riley each went winless in the event, but put forth an outstanding effort in the tourney.

The club will return to action this Sunday as it travels to Clarksville.
