Veterans Day programs
To the Editor:
I am writing in regard to the Switzerland County Schools to commend them on their presentations to the Veterans in this community.
It is with great pride that our youth are involved to the extent that they are and that they present the Veterans with the honor that they so deserve.
I attended both the elementary school program on Friday morning as well as the Middle/High School program on Friday afternoon. I was very pleased with the programs, as well as the courtesy and respect that the students showed towards the Veterans.
I commend you.

County Veteran Service Officer
To the Editor:
In response to Abe Hall’s touching letter in our ‘Vevayland’ newspaper on November 3rd, 2016, I am furious ands shocked also by the mass kill of our deer and turkey.
I was writing letters to the editor years ago about the sadness I feel, as was the late Park Byrum and others. I also pointed out what our instruction boo, The Holy Bible, tells us that one of these days, He is going to make all things new.
Isaiah chapter 11, verses 6-9 will do what I cannot do.
Read about the money lovers in 1 Timothy 6:6-10. We need money to live on, but it is a tool.
We need to be a door of God’s word and not a forgetful hearer, James 1:22-23.
“Only to be what He wants me to be every moment of every day. Yielded completely to Jesus alone every step of this pilgrim way. Just to be clay in the Potter’s hand, ready to do what His word commands. Only to be what He wants me to be every moment of every day.”
May God bless you, Abe Hall, and keep you in His care.
