Led by White, Hon, Pacers excel at JCD
The Switzerland County girls and boys varsity cross country teams had an outstanding day on Saturday participating in the Jac-Cen-Del Invitational.
Head coach Meganmarie Dennis said that nearly all of her athletes posted either season or overall personal record times.
The Lady Pacers were led by senior Gracie White, who was the overall individual winner in the race, posting a personal record time of 20:15.
Overall the Switzerland County girls team finished fourth overall.
Other Lady Pacers included: Claire Rogers, second overall with a season personal record time of 20:57; Amber Detmer in 13th place overall with a season personal record time of 24:39; Ashlyn Covington finished 14th overall with a season personal record time of 24:45; and Terry Oeffinger in a personal record time of 35:02.
Lady Pacers exchange student Aruzhan Tasbolatova ran her first race of the year, finishing in a time of 35:10.

The Pacer boys team finished fourth overall.
Switzerland County was led by Cooper Hon, who came home second overall with a personal record time of 17:13.
Nathan Furnish finished 14th with a time of 18:51; Luke Sullivan bested his personal record time by 44-seconds to run a time of 19:19 to finish 18th.
Cale Collier was 19th in a personal best time of 19:22; and Dylan Sullivan finished 48th with a season personal record time of 21:12.
Kadyn Riley finished 51st with a season personal record time of 21:22; Derek Hoskins was 55th with a season personal record time of 21:36; and Canaan Johnson was 72nd in a time of 24:50.
