Leading the way was Leah Anders improving on here 20th place finish last year to finish fourth this year. Following her was: Cameron Ray (39th), Moriah Northcutt (40th), Maggie Clayton (41st), Zoe Cole (54th), Allison Detmer (72nd) and Jose Meyer (73rd).

The lone boy competing was Garrett Demaree finishing 54th in 21:59. Many boys were not able to compete while not having enough practices.

“This meet we treat as ‘rust buster’ and which gives us a chance to feel what it is like to race again and to some what judge our fitness level,” Coach Sandlin said. “The kids, and myself, know these results are not indicative of our season and they are hungry to work harder.”
