Last week the Switzerland County Middle School seventh grade Lady Pacer basketball team played in the Tri-County Tournament – winning the championship.
In the first game, Switzerland County defeated St. Lawrence by a score of 51-16.
Leading the Lady Pacers in scoring was Rochelle Bolton with 17; while Jessica Duvall had 10; Maddie Duvall and Shawnee Minch each contributed 6; Jaden Harrell and Hannah Hayes tossed in 4 a piece; and rounding out the scoring was Nora Hankins and Hannah Coghill, each with 2 points.
In the championship game, Switzerland County came out with another impressive win over Rising Sun by a score of 62-13.
Jaden Harrell had an outstanding game, leading the Lady Pacers with season high total of 22 points. Other scorers included Rochelle Bolton with 10; Kyah Chase and Hannah Hayes each with 8; Maddie Duvall and Shawnee Minch with 4 a piece; Jessica Duvall, Nora Hankins and Hannah Coghill each scored 2 points.
“This team had a great season and I am looking forward to watching them and their accomplishments over the next five years,” Coach Kaulene Green said.
