Saturday was another great day for the Switzerland County Pacer girls and boys varsity cross country teams — as they each excelled at the South Dearborn Invitational.
The Lady Pacers won the event; while the Pacer boys finished third overall.
In the girls race, Switzerland County dominated, earning five of the top15 places.
Freshman Claire Rogers led the team, finishing in second place overall with a time of 20:53. Amber Detmer finished in sixth place with a time of 22:20; Alisha Detmer finished in seventh place with a time of 22:31; Carlee Boggs finished in 12th place with a time of 23:37; and Ashlyn Covington finished in 15th place with a time of 24:19.
Other Lady Pacer runners included Bri Stow in 32nd place with a time of 32:55; Jessica Hollin in 33rd place with a time of 33:17; and Terra Oeffinger in 33rd place with a time of 41:48.
The Pacer boys team placed two runners in the top 10 of the invitational to secure a very successful day.
Switzerland County was led by Nathan Furnish, who finished in eighth place with a time of 17:59; while teammate Cooper Hon finished in ninth place with a time of 18:06.
Dylan Sullivan finished in 27th place with a time of 20:42; Derek Hoskins finished in 33rd place with a personal record time of 21:31; and Kadyn Riley finished in 33th place with a personal record time of 21:42.
