Lady Pacers split two games during week

The Switzerland County Lady Pacers volleyball team defeated South Dearborn in a home match played last Thursday.

The Lady Pacers took the win in four sets by scores of 11-25, 25-14, 26-24, 25-23.

The final set was close and near the end the score was tied 23-23 before the Lady Pacers took the final win.

Jennifer South had one ace and three kills; Jenna Daugherty had two aces and four kills. Courtney Cole had six kills; Brittany Hall finished with three kills. Tanya Sefton had two aces; Rachel Tressler and Kayla Konkle each finished with an ace.

“This was the varsity’s first win of the year,” Coach Michelle Brett said. “We want to thank all the fans who were there and made their presence felt.”

The jayvee team lost to South Dearborn in two sets by scores of 6-25 and 11-25. Jamie Phipps had one ace and one kill; Katie Hall finished with three aces.

The Switzerland County Lady Pacers lost at Jac-Cen-Del to the Lady Eagles this past Tuesday. The team lost in three sets by scores of 8-25, 10-25, 15-25.

Tanya Sefton and Jenna Daugherty each had an ace during the game.

The jayvee team lost in two sets by scores of 9-25 and 14-25. Hailee Smith had an ace during the game.

The next match for the Lady Pacers will be this Monday, September 11th at Lawrenceburg beginning at 5 p.m.
