The Switzerland County Lady Pacer volleyball team has had a difficult season up to this point, but last Tuesday night the team picked up a big conference win over Madison Shawe.
The game scores were 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15.
Ashley Chase had a perfect night with 100-percent passing; and also had 14 kills. Natalie Daugherty had five kills and four aces; and Kayla Konkle had a perfect 100-percent setting night.
The junior varsity team also won its match with Shawe by scores of 22-25, 25-16, 15-12.
Rachel Tressler led a strong serving attack, recording five aces. Morgan Ross, Christina Ahaus, Rachel Rodgers, and Jenna Daugherty each had two aces.
“I am so proud of both teams,” varsity coach Michelle Brett said. They really wanted to win, and they played an intense game. In the reserve game we made some minor adjustments that really seemed to work well for us; and the varsity girls fought for their win, and it really paid off.”

Last Thursday night the teams fell at Trinity Lutheran.
The varsity team lost by scores of 13-25, 13-25, 23-25; while the junior varsity lost by scores of 25-22, 13-25, 7-15.
In the jayvee game, Christina Ahaus had three aces; Kelsi South and Jenna Daugherty each had two aces; and Morgan Ross and Rachel Tressler each had one ace.
