The Switzerland County Lady Pacer softball team continued to experience some growing pains this season, falling by a final score of 9-0 on Monday night to Southwestern.
The Lady Pacers had a scoring chance in the first when leadoff hitter Hope Tankersley drew a walk and she advanced to third after Taylar Jordan had a bunt single. With two outs Ally Bruce drew a walk to load the bases; but Switzerland County couldn’t push across a run.
Jordan had another hit in the third and added a stolen base; and Tankersley also have a single in the fifth; while Kaylee Wetzel picked up a single in the seventh.
Southwestern got three runs in the third; added three more in the fourth; two more in the fifth; and plated another run in the top of the seventh.
Switzerland County now hosts Madison tomorrow (Friday) night, with the first pitch set for 5 p.m.
