Lady Pacers continue outstanding year

The Switzerland County Middle School girls track team continued its outstanding season last week with a second place finish in a three-way meet with South Dearborn and Rising Sun.

The Lady Pacers finished with a team score of 44; while South Dearborn won the meet with 62. Rising Sun finished with 20 points.

Individually for Switzerland County, Bre Ricketts won three events, claiming the long jump with a distance of 14′ 2 1/2″; the high jump with a height of 4′ 9″; and the 100-meter hurdles with a time of :17.31.

Second places were earned by Cayli Chase in the 400-meter dash; Eve Galbreath in the 100-meter hurdles; Megan Dasis in the 200-meter dash; the 400-meter relay team of Cayli Chase, Lauren Haskell, Kayla Hall, and Bre Ricketts; and the 1,600-meter relay team of Eve Galbreath, Amanda Chatham, Kayla Hall, and Lauren Haskell.

Third place points were earned by Susie Reyes in the shot put and discus; Megan Dasis in the 100-meter dash; Robin Furnish in the 800-meter run; while fourth places were earned by Eve Galbreath in the shot put; Erika Coy in the discus; Robin Furnish in the 1,600-meter run; and Kylie Smith in the 400-meter dash.
