The Switzerland County junior varsity girls basketball team competed in a tournament in Franklin, Indiana, last Thursday, finishing second overall in the four-team field.
In the tournament’s opening round, the Lady Pacers defeated Class 4A Anderson Highland by a final score of 36-28. Carrie Truax led the balanced Switzerland County offense, finishing with 10 points; while Kristen Perry added eight. Jenna Daugherty and Lindsay Scott each contributed six points to the victory.
In the championship game, Switzerland County battled hard before falling to host Franklin by a score of 30-26.
Kristen Perry had an outstanding game in the championship, finishing with 11 points. Lindsay Scott added six points; Carrie Truax had four; Jenna Daugherty three; and Hailee Smith chipped in two points.
