The Switzerland County girls varsity golf team has had a busy week.
– On Monday, August 29th, the Lady Pacers traveled to Batesville to Hillcrest Country Club for a dual meet against Oldenburg. Switzerland County only had two players participate, so they could not record a team score; but Riley King had a career low score of 54 and Alysa Parr had a 67.
– On Wednesday, August 31st, Switzerland County played at the Sunrise Golf Course in a four-way meet.
Again, the Lady Pacers could not place as a team because of having only have three girls participate. Shawe took first with a 201. Jac-Cen-Del’s team score was a 234. Southwestern also only had three players.
For Switzerland County, Alysa Parr came in with her low score of the season with a 53; while Mattea Edwards tied her season low with a 66. Jody Breeck, in her first high school golf meet ever, scored a 71.
– On Saturday, September 3rd, Switzerland County finished second in the ORVC meet held at Sunrise Golf Course in Madison behind conference champion Shawe.
Individually for the Lady Pacers, Alysa Parr earned All Conference honors with a 110; while Riley King finished right behind with a 111. Mattea Edwards finished with a 136; Jody Breeck had a 145; and Abbie Christman finished with a score of 151.
Others earning All Conference honors were: Megg Hensler and Carson Hambrick of Shawe, each with an 87; MacKenzie Black of South Ripley with a 94; McKayla Weber of Jac-Cen-Del with a 96; and Gabby Pawlak of Shawe with a 109.
