Kristen Perry is ‘Player of the Week’


The Ohio River Valley Conference has released its “Top Performers” and “Players of the Week” for the time period of December 13th through January 4th, and Switzerland County’s Kristen Perry has been honored as the “Player of the Week” in girls basketball.

Kristen was spotlighted for scoring 31 points, pulling down 11 rebounds, and contributing three steals over two games at the Franklin Tournament.

Lady Pacer Lindsay Scott was honored as a “Top Performer”, with her 21 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists while shooting 60-percent from the floor and 75-percent from the freethrow line versus Gary Wallace in the Franklin Tournament.

Other players honored as “Top Performers” included: Megan Pickett, Teryn Elder, and Katie Duncan of Rising Sun .


In boys basketball, Pacers Brennan Bragg and Travis Tackett were honored at “Top Performers”.

Brennan Bragg was honored for his 16 points, 12 rebounds, two steals, and two assists while going 7-for-7 from the floor against Indianapolis Tindley in the Richmond Tournament.

Travis Tackett was honored for scoring 47 points and grabbing 19 rebounds while shooting 18-for-29 from the floor over three games in the Richmond Tournament.

Others honored as “Top Performers” included: Nico Mingione of Madison Shawe; Caleb Jones of Southwestern; and Chase Grider, Brian Thomas, and Thad Fleming of South Ripley.

Tanner Mahoney of Southwestern, who scored his 1,000th career point over the time period, was honored as the “Player of the Week”.
