Kensley Adams and Jaxson Carfield are 2019 Little Miss, Little Mister

With the fair in full swing, Monday night was highlighted by the crowning of this year’s Little Miss and Little Mister of the Switzerland County 4-H Fair.

  From a full field of contestants, Kensley Adams, age 6, was honored as this year’s Little Miss; while five year old Jaxson Carfield is this year’s Little Mister.

  Kensley is the daughter of Dougie and Becca Adams of Greenbriar Ridge, and she enjoys playing softball and jumping on her trampoline. He favorite food is strawberries; and her favorite television show is Blaze. She has two pets: a dog names Charlie Brown and a cat named Possum.

  Jaxson loves to play baseball and dig for fossils, and his favorite television show is Spongebob. He lives in Patriot and he is the son of Kara Carfield and Jeremy Carfield; and his pets include Rango, Daisy Mae, and Dory.

  The first runner up in the Little Miss contest was Kaney Peters. Kaney is the daughter of Chris and Jill Peters of near Fairview, and she is five years old. She likes to swim and play with her ducks and chickens; and her favorite food is pizza. Tom and Jerry is her favorite television show; and she has a lot of pets: Belle, Benny, Boone, Cali, Chloe, 41 chickens and seven ducks.

  Gabriel Lieland is this year’s first runner up for Little Mister. He is seven years old and is the son of Jeff and Becky Lieland of Patriot, and his hobbies include eating, playing, and going outside. His favorite food is cheese roll ups; and his favorite television show is Gon. His pets include Tooth the goat; Pedro the fish; and Ace the horse.

  The second runner up for Little Miss was Lynleigh McAlister. She is six years old, and she lives near Patriot. She is the daughter of Dan and Kodi McAlister. Her hobbies include hanging out with her family and friends; drawing; spending time in the barn; and playing with her animals. He favorite television show is Doc McStuffins, and her favorite food is macaroni and cheese. Her pets include a dog named Nash; a cat named Oscar; and seven cows.

  Honored as this year’s second runner up for Little Mister is Camden Peters. He is seven years old and is the son of Chris and Jill Peters of near Fairview. His hobbies include swimming, dirt biking, and playing with his animals; and his pets include Belle, Benny, Boone, Cali, Chloe, 41 chickens and seven ducks. His favorite food is ice cream, and his favorite television show is Tom and Jerry.

  Other children in the Little Miss competition on Monday night included: Madilyn Jones, Maggie Prarat, Selena Stashek, Kassidy Gabbard, Katelyn James, Atlee Fields, Ellie Webb, Niyah Swango, Cecilia Shelton, and Aislyn Butcher.

  Other candidates for Little Mister included: Braxton Perkins and James Huffner.

  This year’s Switzerland County 4-H Fair continues through this Saturday night.
