‘Keeping Pace’ helps local cancer victims

Donations and applications are now being accepted for the new ‘Keeping Pace Cancer Fund’ through the Community Foundation of Switzerland County.

The new cancer fund was set up by a group of concerned community members after the announcement that the Switzerland County Relay for Life event was canceled. Donations to the Keeping Pace Cancer Fund will be used to assist any Switzerland County resident who is battling cancer. Assistance will be provided to help with such things as fuel, food, lodging, wigs, etc.

To donate, please make checks payable to the Community Foundation of Switzerland County with “Keeping Pace Cancer Fund” in the memo. You may drop off donations at Froggy Radio Station at 213 West Main Street in Vevay; or at the Community Foundation Office at 303 Ferry Street in Vevay (above Mainsource Bank).

100-percent of the money donated will go to this fund to be used right here in Switzerland County.

Applications for assistance are also being accepted. Applications may be picked up and submitted to Community Foundation office. Each application for assistance will be submitted to a committee for review on a case-by-case basis.
