Jeff-Craig Fire & Rescue has been selected as one of 20 top volunteer fire department in Johnsonville’s nationwide search for the “Best of US!”
The company called on America to share with it the inspiring stories about the unsung heroes that make this country great, and Johnsonville received so many amazing entries – one of which was for Jeff-Craig Fire & Rescue.
It was hard to narrow the nominees to just the top 20, but the company has now announced that the Jeff-Craig department has been included in the top 20.
As of this past Tuesday, May 20th, everyone is now able to vote for their volunteer fire department on the Johnsonville website: http://bestofus.johnsonville.com/galleryFirehouses.php.
From now until Friday, June 20th, everyone can log onto the website and vote for the Jeff-Craig entry – and encourage friends and family to do the same.
Everyone is allowed to vote once per day, per category.
On or around Tuesday, June 24th, Johnsonville will announce the top 10 “Best of US – Volunteer Fire Department”.
The nomination receiving the highest number of votes will be awarded $10,000; and Johnsonville sausage products for the fire department to raise additional funds.
The International Fire Safety Training Association (IFSTA) will provide the grand prize winner with an IFSTA Training Library and home smoke alarm equipment with alert devices (that meet the needs of people with disabilities) to install in 100 homes in their community.
IFSTA will also provide up-to-date smoke alarm installer training for the department to help their community become more fire safe.
All of Switzerland County and the surrounding area is encouraged to vote early and often.
