The Switzerland County junior varsity boys basketball team traveled to Elizabeth, Indiana on Saturday to participate in the South Central Tournament; and the Pacers returned from their long trip with the championship trophy.
In the opening game, the Pacers played Southwestern, and won in a triple overtime thriller by a score of 40-36.
Tyler Konkle led the way for Switzerland County with 20 points in the contest, including two three-pointers; while Coby Chase was in double figures with 10. Damian Breeck had five points in the win; while Cade Rider had three points and Landon Wilks contributed the other two points.
Moving on to the championship game, Switzerland County kept up its impressive play, defeating host South Central by a score of 54-42.
Breeck was the leading scorer in the title tilt, finishing with 18 points; while Kenyon Bledsoe and Dalton Tingle each added eight points.
Rider had seven points in the win; Konkle had five; Chase had four; and Justin Chatham and Tyler Perry had two points each.
The team is coached by Mitch Hobson.
