Jayvee finish season at Waldron Tourney

The Switzerland County junior varsity boys basketball team wrapped up its season on Saturday by finishing second in the Junior Varsity Tournament at Waldron High School.

The Pacers defeated Triton Central in the opening round before falling to South Ripley in the championship game.

In the first game, Switzerland County defeated Triton Central by a score of 31-30.

Tyler Queen led the Pacers with 12 points and seven rebounds; while Adam Clark finished with seven points and five boards.

Damon Robbins had four points and two assists; Blake Whitham added three points and two assists; Quinn Meyer had three points; and Alex Curran contributed two points.

In the title tilt, the Pacers fell to South Ripley by a score of 44-30.

Tyler Queen again led the Pacers, finishing with eight points and four rebounds; while Adam Clark had seven points and Alex Curran had four points.

Anthony Dennis had three points and two assists; while Zach O’Neal, Damon Robbins, Blake Whitham, and Quinn Meyer all finished with two points each. Anthony Dasis had four steals.

The junior varsity finished with a record of 12-6. Mark Boggs is the team’s coach.
