Interviews set for Craig Township school board seat

The Switzerland County School Board will interview three applicants next week as it moves towards filling the vacancy left by the resignation of Nancy Peters last month.

School Superintendent Mike Jones said that three residents of Craig Township filed their intent to seek the position by last Friday’s deadline: past member Kenny Briggs, John Keeton, and Greg Bosaw.

The six remaining members of the school board will now interview those three candidates in a special meeting next Thursday, July 21st. The meeting will be held in the Administration Building on West Main Street, and will begin at 6 p.m.

The meeting and the interviews are open to the public. Members of the public are not permitted to ask questions, but may observe the process and listen to responses.

The appointment of the new Craig Township school board member will then be up to the current board.
