Hunter has successful year at Mt. St. Joesph

Switzerland County graduate Nate Hunter has ended the 2017 regular season with Mt. St. Joseph University.

The 6’3″ junior outfielder successful year included being second in batting with .329 and first in RBI. He tied for most hits and home runs while second in runs scored. Hunter was the only player to start all 40 games.

Mt. St. Joseph season ended in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament. After an opening round 7-6 loss to Manchester, Mt. St, Joesph knocked off Rose Hulman 3-1 with Hunter hitting his fifth home run of the season. Momentum continued as they avenged the loss to Manchester with a 4-2 win in the rematch. They fell to Earlham College 5-2 in the final to finish the season at 24-20 overall and 16-11 in HCAC action.
