The Switzerland County High School Academic teams recently participated in the Regional competition held at Batesville High School; and the school’s interdisciplinary team earned first place in Class 3 of the competition.
The theme of this year’s competition was “The English Renaissance”.
Jessica Voris was the captain of the interdisciplinary team; along with team members Tifanie Rider, Allison Steele, and Jim Abbott.
The science team and the fine arts team each earned second places at the regional competition. For the science team, the captain was Allison Steele; along with team members Amanda Hale, Mackenzie Hale, and Kristie Martin.
Chantal Snyder was the captain of the fine arts team, along with team members Chris Beach, Allison Steele, and Kathe Spoores.
Other students who participated on the team for Switzerland County included: Crystal Bevis, Aaron Deacon, Ian Sisson, Emilee Waldron, and Robyn Woeste.
Teacher coaches included Bonnie Fancher, Pam Jones, Janet Hendricks, Meagan Meadors, Tammy Beitzel, and Donna Paige.
