Halloween Parade set for October 25th

The Jefferson-Craig Fire Department will again host its annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 25th. The parade travels through downtown Vevay, and then north on Ferry Street to the firehouse.

Line up for the parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at BESI Manufacturing on the corner of Seminary and Vineyard streets. The parade will begin at 7 p.m.

At the firehouse following the parade, there will again be a costume contest that everyone may participate in.

Prizes will be awarded in five different age categories: birth to age 4; ages 5-8; ages 9-13; ages 14-17; and ages 18 and up. In each category, prizes will be awarded for the “Prettiest”, the “Scariest”, and the “Most Original” costume.

Each category will have a trophy and prizes; and one contestant will be judged as having the “Best Overall Costume”.
