Southeastern Indiana’s “911 Gives Hope” is pleased to announce the third annual “Guns & Hoses” charity boxing event.
The event will take place this Saturday, March 1st, and will again be held at Belterra Casino Resort. All proceeds will benefit local children.
During the evening, law enforcement officers and firefighters from Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky, who put their lives on the line every day, will put it all on the line in the ring to help protect those who cannot protect themselves.
At the conclusion, the team with the most victories will take home the traveling ‘Guns & Hoses’ Championship Belt.
This event supports the regional Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) that opened in September 2009. The CAC is a neutral child-friendly place where law enforcement officers, child protection services, and prosecutor’s offices from more than six counties can bring children for a forensic interview due to an allegation of abuse or neglect.
It is important to support this very special place where children, who may not have a voice anywhere else, can go to be heard. The event also benefits ‘Angels for Isaac’, a non-profit charity for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research. Isaac’s dad is an Indiana State Trooper and they live in the Tri-State area.
Guns & Hoses charity boxing match will feature exciting boxing matches. Each fight is three rounds and is judged by boxing officials. The participants come from around the Tri-State area including: in Indiana: East Enterprise, Rising Sun, Aurora, Greendale, Madison, and Lawrenceburg; in Ohio: Colerain and Whitewater Township; and in Kentucky: Ghent, Hebron, and Covington.
The event kicks off at 7 p.m. at Belterra Casino Resort. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and at Belterra Casino Resort.
