Harriet Bovard and Alice Faye Whitham! Patty Edwards Haley of Goodlettsville, Tennessee has nominated her sisters, Harriet Bovard and Alice Faye Whitham, for this week’s “Good for You!” award.
Patty Haley writes: “I am the baby of our Edwards family and also the only one who lives outside of Switzerland County. My husband Phillip and I live just north of Nashville, Tennessee.
“Due to our jobs and the weather, we were a little later than normal having Christmas this year. But what joy it was when I walked in each of my sister’s homes to find beautiful trees still decorated and all the holly still hung. I joked with them, asking what if we couldn’t get home until June, and they both said: ‘Well, we’ll just have Christmas whenever you get here.’
“I’d just like everyone to know what wonderful sisters I have, Besides both of them being great cooks, they have each given of themselves to keep our family close to one another. I am so thankful to God for blessing me with my sisters and my two brothers, whom I love dearly.”
