Deputy David Davenport! Christopher Dornbusch of Jackson Road has nominated Switzerland County Sheriff’s deputy David Davenport for this week’s “Good for You” award.
Christopher Dornbusch writes: “I would like to nominate David Davenport for the ‘Good for You!’ award.
“On a recent Saturday morning before dawn I was on my way to Lake Hardy towing my bass boat when I broke down. I was in front of Sandy Beach on State Road 56. A dispatcher could not find anyone available in Jefferson County, so a Switzerland County deputy was dispatched.
“As we awaited a wrecker to get me off of the highway, the officer – Dave Davenport – offered tow my boat back to Jackson Road. This saved me a ton of money as a second wrecker was going to have to be dispatched for the boat.
“As fate would have it Officer Davenport got another call about a car on Jackson Road! I thank Dave Davenport for going the extra mile.”
