Golfers wrap year with Sectional play
The Switzerland County High School girls varsity golf team wrapped up its season on Saturday by participating in sectional at Sunrise Golf Course in Madison.
“We have had a successful season with two veteran players and three new players,” head coach Natalie Wheeler said. “We didn’t score as low as we would have liked, but it was a fun time, especially at the team dinner afterwards. Lots of happy tears in celebration of our two seniors, Lily Williams and Kenna Perkins. They will be missed.”
In the sectional, Switzerland County finished in seventh place overall out of 10 schools. The winning team was Jennings County with a team score of 391.
