The Vevay Newspaper is going pink.

In honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, Vevay Media Group, owners of ‘The Vevay Reveille-Enterprise’ and ‘The Switzerland Democrat’, will honor breast cancer survivors as well as survivors of other forms of cancer with a special day.

For the issue of Thursday, October 19th, the newspapers will carry pink on the front pages; and Vevay Media Group will be donating 25-percent of all advertising in those issues to the “Keeping Pace” cancer fund, a fund within the Community Foundation of Switzerland County that helps Switzerland County cancer patients and their families with expenses incurred while fighting the disease.

There will also be special articles in the issue, focusing on cancer success stories and other information.

Businesses, organizations, or individuals who want to place an ad in the October 19th issue should contact the newspaper office at (812) 427-231; or email information to vevaynews@gmail.com. The deadline to place ads for the October 19th issue is noon on Monday, October 16th.

For those individuals wishing to honor friends or family members, photos may be emailed or brought into the office. Pictures will be scanned and handed right back to the person.
