To the Editor:

The sixth annual “Garden Melodies” tour sponsored by the Switzerland County Historical Society is this weekend, Saturday the 17th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday the 18th from noon to 6 p.m. This is one of two fundraisers we will present this year.

The participating gardeners have put phenomenal effort into making this an exceptional tour. A special thanks to John and Toni Kniola, Bill and Leesa Murrell, Vickie Althoff, Keith and Carmon Smith, Lisa and Jerry Fisher, and the new owners of the Rosemont, Howard and Linda Awand. A few more surprise locations will be revealed the day of the tour.

In addition to the splendid gardens, a show of vintage and contemporary quilts will be on display at the newly renovated Switzerland County Historical Museum. Thank you to Wanda Benzing and Melodee Stepleton for organizing this very special part of “Garden Melodies.” Live music at the museum will complete the experience that makes our garden tour an experience to delight the senses.

Visitors may also enjoy the “Life on the Ohio” River History Museum and the Historical Museum as part of the tour.

With all the work done, the success now lies in you, the visitors. We hope you will treat yourself to a wonderful experience while helping the historical society raise funds for our ongoing projects.
