A new year will bring about a new administration at Froggy 95.9-FM., as new owners have been announced for the long-time local station.

Adam Griffin, current General Manager and on-air morning show host, and his wife, Greta, have assumed ownership for Dial Broadcasting Inc., the parent company for Froggy 95.9-FM. Being a long-tenured employee with the company, Adam Griffin knows he has big expectations to fill from the communities the station serves.

Adam Griffin, 29, began working at Froggy 95.9 in April 2006 “scrubbing toilets and doing commercials”. Throughout the nearly nine years of employment with Dial Broadcasting Inc., he has worked his way up through many positions within the small market station, from Sales Executive, Traffic Director, Program Director, Office Manager, Operations Manager and the eventual General Manager position.

In addition, he was a fill-in on-air talent from the beginning of his career at Froggy radio, through 2010 when he was promoted to full-time morning show host.

As far as plans for the company, Adam Griffin says listeners will not notice a whole lot of change, at least immediately.

“There are lots of dreams and ideas that I have, but they will not be instituted right away,” he said. “There’s a lot of people who will have the opportunity for input into those ideas, as I plan to bring in a group of local folks, right here in Froggy country, to help hash out what’s best for the station and the community. If there’s one thing that people will notice, it’s that I want Froggy 95.9 to be the community’s station. From Versailles, Rising Sun, Vevay, Madison, Florence, Warsaw, Carrollton, Owenton, Bedford, Dry Ridge and all areas in between; the station that focuses on them.”

The Griffin family officially assumed ownership on January 5th.
