The Ohio River Valley Conference freshman boys basketball tournament is being hosted this year by Switzerland County High School, and athletic director David Todd has announced the tourney schedule, which began this past Monday, February 4th.
Due to the girls basketball sectional now having seven teams, this year’s freshman tourney schedule had to be modified a bit.
Coach Sean McGarvey’s Pacers opened the tournament on Monday with a 51-49 victory over Southwestern; and game two on Monday night saw Rising Sun pick up its first win of the year with a victory over Milan.
This Monday, February 11th, Switzerland County will play South Ripley at 6 p.m.; and Rising Sun will take on Jac-Cen-Del at 7:15 p.m. that evening.
The two winners on Monday night will then meet in the tournament championship game, which will be played on Thursday, February 14th, beginning at 6 p.m.
