Freshman boys start season with win


The freshman boys basketball team from Switzerland County High School opened their season on Monday night with a 41-22 victory over South Dearborn.

Tyler Queen led the Pacers, finishing with 19 points, and also picked up three rebounds, two steals, and an assist.

Nelson Hughes added seven points; Averi Fultz had six points and a steal; Trevor Smith had five points, two assists, two steals, and a rebound; Alex Curran had two points, eight rebounds, an assist and a steal; and Clint Swanson finished with two points and three rebounds.

Also contributing to the win were team members Alex Galbreath, Dalton Scudder, Tanner Gray, and Chris Morris.

“This is a really good start to the season for us,” Coach Sean McGarvey said. “We came out focused and ready to play.”

The Pacers return to action this Monday, November 30th, with a home game against Milan beginning at 6 p.m.
