The Switzerland County boys freshman team defeated Rising Sun on Monday night by a 36-28 count.
Dakota Taylor had an outstanding game to lead Coach Sean McGarvey’s troops, finishing with 18 points, 11 rebounds, one block, one assist, and one steal.
Nathan Hunter had seven points and two assists in the game; while Justus Powell added six points, three assists, and five rebounds.
Chance Grubbs had two points; T.J. White had two points and two rebounds; and Kyle Konkle had one point.

On Tuesday night Switzerland County made it two wins in a row with a 33-27 win over South Ripley.
Dakota Taylor led the Pacers in scoring, finishing with 14 points, three assists, seven rebounds, and two steals.
Kyle Konkle had an outstanding game, going 3-for-4 from three-point range for nine points, and he also had two assists and two rebounds.
Sean Oatman and Nathan Hunter both finished with four points; and Justus Powell added two points, three rebounds, and three steals.

Last Wednesday the freshman boys fell to Lawrenceburg by a 28-13 count.
Dakota Taylor had four points, three rebounds, and two steals in the game; while Kyle Konkle had three points and four steals. Ronnie Smith also had three points; Justus Powell had two points and four rebounds; and Chance Grubbs chipped in one point and had three rebounds.
Switzerland County now enters ORVC tournament play, and has a rematch with South Ripley this Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the tourney’s opening round. The games are being played at South Ripley High School.
