Freshman boys fall in close game with Milan

The freshman boys basketball team from Switzerland County High School fell in a close game to Milan on Monday night by a score of 38-32.

“We came out flat to begin the game, and could not recover from the slow start,” coach Sean McGarvey said.

Calen Otter and Josh Yeary led the team in scoring, each finishing with nine points. Calen Otter also contributed six rebounds and one steal; while Josh Yeary had one assist, one rebound, and two steals.

Nathan Smith finished with seven points, five rebounds, and two steals; Steven Craig had three points and a steal; Anthony Dennis had two points and three steals; Brady Scudder had two points and one rebound; and Anthony Dasis finished with rebound.

The freshmen return to action this Saturday when they travel to South Ripley for a 10 a.m. start.
