The Switzerland County High School freshman boys basketball team defeated Milan on Monday night by a score of 35-32.
Blake Whitham led the way for the Pacers, scoring 12 points and adding five rebounds, three steals, and an assist. Zach O’Neal was also in double figures, scoring 11 points to go with five rebounds and a steal.
Ernie Lipperd finished with eight points and six rebounds; Allen Chase had three points and six rebounds; Cody Hoffman had two points; and Adam Clark chipped in one point.
The win runs the freshman record to 2-0 on the season.
“We need to learn to finish games and play smart at the end,” coach Sean McGarvey said. “We missed several opportunities to put Milan away early in the fourth quarter.”
The team was to be in action last night (Wednesday) at Southwestern.
