Freshman boys defeat Lawrenceburg, 46-37


The freshman boys basketball team got its new year off to a good start on Tuesday night with a 46-37 win over Lawrenceburg.

Trevor Smith led the way with 21 points on the night for the Pacers, and he also contributed three assists, four rebounds, and two steals.

Clint Swanson was also in double figures with 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals; while Alex Curran finished with six points and eight rebounds.

Alex Galbreath had five points, three rebounds, and three steals; Chris Morris had two points; and Averi Fultz, Tanner Gray, Nelson Hughes, and Dalton Scudder all contributed to the victory.

“I thought the team played well considering the long layoff due to the holidays,” Coach Sean McGarvey said. “We came out with a very impressive victory.”

The Pacers return to action this Monday when they travel to Milan for a 6 p.m. contest. The team’s record now stands at 10-1.
